What’s it all about? Step into the shoes of 91‑year‑old Norman in 2020, as he looks back on his life in wartime Southampton during 1940—through moments both dramatic, tender, humorous and moving. This richly layered play is rooted in real events, and has a special connection to Fordingbridge through Norman’s marriage to a local girl, giving it truly personal resonance. Why this is special:

Auditions complete - the play has been Cast Following 2 brilliant audition sessions, we now have our Cast for our ambitious new production Norman the Conqueror. This is one of the largest Casts in the history of Fordingbridge Players, and even so, some of our talented actors are taking multiple roles. The numerous character will be portrayed by a variety of actors: young people playing the elderly, adults playing 12 year olds, ladies playing gentlemen - it was clear from the auditions that we have many talented character actors to call upon.
